Since the outbreak of Covid 19 pandemic which came with diverse effects as a result of lockdowns imposed by the government in a bid to prevent its spread, many lost their jobs from which they have been earning a living, until now these families are still struggling with making ends meet. Everlasting Hope with support from Living Hope Netherlands has since then been involved in sharing Basic food stuffs with families in the slums of Kampala. 496 families have been fed. While in food distribution, some souls seeing that God had provided for them, to some non- Christians on receiving food packages which came as a miracle when all hopes were gone, made decisions to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Stuart one of the Local government leaders in Kisaasi, one of the slums that Everlasting Hope distributed food as soon as staff arrived on ground to give food to the People as arranged, Stuart eager to find out the details of our team came in, Despite his drunken state, he was hungry to hear about the saving power of God’s Love. With convictions from the Holy Spirit, Stuart received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Since then his life has tremendously changed and become a living testimony to the entire society- once bound by the powers of alcohol addiction now Christ’s free man. The following time staff went back for a door to door outreach, Stuart was one of the evangelists of the church.
